We have only told family and close friends. I just want to tell the whole world. Its been a long journey... and now I can say its finally worth the wait! Here is the story:
January 20th, after talking with a good friend all week about the fertility clinic she went to to conceive her beautiful little girl... I had decided it was finally time to take the step and go to a clinic. After a couple emails back and forth with the scheduler... we finally got an appointment with a doctor there for Tuesday, January 25th. I was suppose to get Aunt Flow on that Saturday prior. It never came but I didn't want to get my hopes up... in the past year and some that's all I did was get my hopes up every month. So we decided to go to our appointment that next Tuesday. We met with the doctor early in the morning. SUPER nice and informative. We sat and talked about goals and what we expected out of him in the future. I did explain I was a little late on aunt flow, so he decided to give me a blood test and said his nurse would call later on in the day with the results. We left, had lunch and I went to work. Mark brought my car in to get the tired rotated and came back to my office to drop my keys off at around 1:30. Well when he was in my office a number of 612 popped up on my phone and my heart about dropped because I knew it was the doctors office. I answered and it was the DR. himself!!! I don't know why but that gave me a little butterflies, I just knew it had to be good news. He then said my test results were back and they were positive for pregnancy. My heart just dropped right then and there! I said" WHAT? POSITIVE?" He said he would like lie about something like that! I looked at Mark and he had the biggest smile on his face. I honestly thought he could start crying right there! :) I honestly do not remember a thing he really said after that! Got off the phone and gave Mark a HUGE HUGE HUG! I never ever thought this day would ever come! I got home and we then called and let our families know. They are all very very excited!
Today I am 5 weeks and 3 days with a long 242 days to go. I know its still very very early. Last week I went to my regular doctor and had a urine test and that came back positive as well. My next appointment is with an OB educator next Thursday, Feb. 10th. I will keep everyone posted! Baby is the size of an orange seed (according to "What to Expect").
